Everyone into the pool!
The Men's and Women's basketball team again reached out to the children of the surrounding area. Both teams hosted a Pool and Pizza party that invited the kids to come and swim and have a good time. The athletes supervised and Pizza was provided. A good time was had by all. It was another great way for the Fredonia State athletes to connect with the local community.

Pink Out to Fight Cancer

Going Pink for the Cause
Today (October 24th), before practice, the women's basketball team took up another fight!  After making donations to the Susan B. Koman foundation, the girls all had PINK hair extension added to their locks in support of the fight against breast cancer. The players will continue to wear these extensions throughout the rest of the month as a  reminder to everyone to join them in this fight.

Kids' Night Out 2012

Smiling faces for Kids' Night Out 2012
The Fredonia State men's and women's basketball team again played host to local youths in their annual “Kids' Night Out” event in Steele Hall Gym.

The teams began hosting Kids' Night Out in 2004. This years even drew over 100 kids in grades first through sixth. The Blue Devils supervised and participated in a bevy of activities with the kids, including basketball, soccer, kickball and swimming.

The teams have found it to be a great way to give back to the community as well as serve as role models for the children they come in contact with. Well done Blue Devils!
