Sophomore Alexis Cheatham
The women's basketball team opened with a 75-64 victory on the road at Alfred State. The team was led by Alexis Cheatham with 23 points and junior Sabrina Macaulay with 13 points and 14 rebounds for her first double/double of the season. The Blue Devils used a fast start to propel themselves to a non-conference win. Two other Blue Devils also scored in double figures to lead a balanced attack. Introducing: Kaylyn Billups Senior #21
My name is Kaylyn Billups. I’m from Buffalo New York and I graduated from Charter High School for Applied Technologies. I am currently a senior majoring in psychology and minoring in business administration. After graduation I hope to attend graduate school studying higher education. Basketball runs in my family. My brother played two years at Medaille and my cousin Amir played here at Fredonia until graduating in 2013. The main reason I came to Fredonia was to play basketball. Once I found out that I had gotten a chance to continue playing the game that I love so much it was no turning back. Fredonia is a great place to play and I’m happy I furthered my education here.

10th Annual Fall Sweep!
Community Service "LEAFS" a good feeling
The team participated in 10th Annual Fall Sweep community service project on Sunday, November 9th. The project organized by the ACA and attended by more than 700 Fredonia students was a HUGE success on a cold and damp morning.
Everyone met in the Williams Center and the team readied itself for the Sweep by having a little breakfast and listening to President Horvath, Vice President Herman and dignitaries from the ACA. Once they had finished speaking, the team headed to their destination on Central Avenue. Joined by the Women's Tennis team and Sigma Gamma Phi sorority, the team moved a mountain of leaves, much to the delight of the Presbyterian Church followers that provided donuts and cider to the "sweepers."
The team was visited by President Horvath and her furry friend, "Freddy." The team really enjoyed working together and as Emily Barrett commented, "...Enjoyed working together with my whole team." Job well done!
